My Story…

HOW IT ALL BEGAN:
My name is Tina Fox and I am a happy stay-at-home mom spending my time taking care of my two young boys.  Before we discovered Australian Labradoodles, the only thing that I could say was missing in my life was a dog who could go everywhere with us.  I grew up with dogs and wanted that experience for my boys. Sadly, for a dog person like me, my son and husband get itchy eyes, stuffy noses, and breakout into hives when they pet a dog (or are in a house where dogs have been shedding). I really  missed having a dog in my home so I decided to find a hypoallergenic breed.

RESEARCH! RESEARCH! RESEARCH!

 I started to research what kind of a breed would work for my family.  We wanted a dog that was large and athletic enough to keep up with us when we go hiking and fishing but hypo-allergenic so they can be in our house.  After a little googling, I discovered that was a tall order.  I continued to spend a lot of time looking for a breed that would fit our family with no luck.  Then by chance, I discovered that some people are crossing labs with poodles and calling them labradoodles.  A lab is a great family dog and a poodle has hypoallergenic hair, what could be wrong with that?  I started looking for a labradoodle to buy but then I sadly realized that when you cross a lab with a poodle their coat is very inconsistent as well as their temperament.  Also, I realized that it is extremely important that the parents are exceptional dogs with healthy eyes, elbows and hips. A little more research and I discovered the Australian Labradoodles are an ideal breed for our family.  They have been carefully bred for many generations to be service dogs for families with allergies. They are exceptionally athletic, smart, friendly, loyal AND hypo-allergenic! That sounded like the perfect breed to me!   We purchased our breeder girl, Beauty, and are so glad to have her as a part of our family.  She really has the fantastic temperament expected of an Australian Labradoodle and best of all, she doesn't shed.  My son gives her big hugs and doesn't have allergy symptoms at all.  My husband can pet a dog on his lap without getting hives and itchy eyes for the first time in his life!  We are so excited to give others the opportunity to have the perfect family dog!

OUR COMMITMENT:

When you reserve a puppy from Taylor Mountain Labradoodles, you can rest assured that you are getting a pup that has had the highest quality of care.  They will be well adjusted to noisy family life as well as used to some alone time.  They will already be beginning their potty and crate training!  We have put a great deal of effort into breeding only Australian Labradoodles who have been bred for generations for the very best qualities and many of the temperament, coat, and conformation flaws have already been bred out.

THE GOALS OF OUR BREEDING PROGRAM:

Superior Health: All of our breeders have passed rigorous health testing to ensure that genetic flaws have been bred out.Temperament: A lot goes into considering which dogs to breed. We only breed dogs who are friendly to children, smart, and loyal.Socialization: The puppies from Taylor Mountain Labradoodles are raised in our home with the very best of care. They are accustomed to the sights and sounds of family life but can also tolerate some "alone time". We spend a lot of time and effort to begin to crate train and potty train your puppy to make the transition easier from our home to yours.

OUR GUARANTEE:

Genetic tests are done on our breeders to help ensure that we are breeding out the flaws while keeping the best traits. These tests are done to help reassure our buyers that we have done everything possible to breed healthy puppies.  We provide a two year guarantee against genetic disease. We also guarantee that the puppy will be in good health, is up-to-date on immunizations appropriate for the puppy's age and has had appropriate worming's at the time the buyer receives the puppy.  Please contact us for a copy of our contract for details.
